Myotherapy

Myotherapy is a manual therapy that uses a variety of techniques to aid recovery from injury and improve your body’s overall health.

It is able to treat pains associated with the restrictions or tightness caused by sporting injuries, overuse, poor postural control, or stress.

It can help with:

  • Muscle strains
  • Overuse injuries such as tennis elbow or shin splints
  • Lower back and neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Muscle tightness (trigger points)
  • Reduced mobility and joint stiffness
  • Headaches and poor posture

They are able to use a variety of treatment techniques:

  • Soft tissue or relaxation massage
  • Trigger point therapy
  • Superficial dry needling
  • Myofascial cupping
  • Stretching exercises
  • Heat therapy
  • Lymphatic drainage

Our myotherapist, Thong Pham is able to provide all of the above techniques and services.  He currently consults on Friday afternoons but will add extra sessions in August 2018.  Appointments are necessary and HICAPS is available for on the spot claims.

Worksafe clients are accepted though pre-approval is required.  The TAC does not cover myotherapy.
