Improve the Way You Move
What is a Physiotherapist?

Physiotherapists are university trained and are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.

Physiotherapists are first contact health professionals.  No referrals are necessary.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant please bring scan/MRI reports, and a list of medication.

You may wish to wear shorts and t-shirt or a singlet depending on the area of interest. If you have a knee or hip pain shorts are preferable. If you have a shoulder pain, a singlet or crop top would be suitable.

How many visits will I need with a therapist?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the physiotherapist or myotherapist will discuss their treatment plan for the rehabilitation process and an estimate of how long it will take.

Generally speaking, you should feel improvements within 3 to 5 sessions depending on the area of pain and the duration of the symptoms.
